David’s planning philosophy emphasizes wealth accumulation, minimizing taxes and volatility in retirement, addressing longevity risk, and ensuring assets are passed on efficiently and privately. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Accredited Estate Planner®, he serves as the defensive foundation of the planning process, helping clients navigate complex decisions with clarity and confidence.

David has been married to his wife, Sue, for over 41 years and they have four children and eight grandchildren. Dave is a big believer in family and still has family dinners almost every Sunday with most of the kids and grandchildren. Dave and Sue have lived in St. Louis all of their lives. He enjoys the outdoors and especially fishing with the grandchildren because he knows they will only be young for so long and you have to live in the moment. Dave looks forward to his annual motorcycle trip across the country with three college friends. They have traveled through over 40 states on these road trips.

Dave and Sue support many charitable organizations included the MS-Society, Cystic Fibrosis, the Lupus Foundation, St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer, and the Mary Culver Home for vision-impaired women where his mother lives. The support comes in an unusual way – he donates a BBQ to be auctioned off at one of their live events. The BBQ is a pig roast, cooked, carved and served on site. It is a very popular auction item and a great way to have fun and do some good in our community. Dave also serves as a Board Member on the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis.
